Application for Short-Term Accommodation in Undergraduate Dormitories for Students from Taipei & New Taipei, Spring 2025

Dear Students,

The application for short-term accommodation in undergraduate dormitories for students with a household registry in Taipei City and New Taipei City (Spring Semester 2025) will open soon.

  1. Eligibility:
    1. Undergraduate students whose household registry is in Taipei City or New Taipei City.
    2. Students whose household registry has been outside Taipei City and New Taipei City for less than two years, or who have registered in the following remote districts of New Taipei City for less than two years: Sanzhi, Shimen, Jinshan, Wanli, Ruifang, Gongliao, Shuangxi, Pingxi, Pinglin, Wulai, Shiding, and Linkou.
  2. Application Period: From 10:00 AM on February 13 (Thursday) to 5:00 PM on February 18 (Tuesday), 2025. (Late applications will NOT be accepted.)
  3. Application Website:

  4. Dormitory Location: Accommodation is available in on-campus undergraduate dormitories. During the application process, applicants may select their preference for either Main Campus Dormitories or Downtown Campus Dormitories. If you prefer not to be assigned to a specific campus, do not select the “Either” option.
  5. Priority Allocation: Students who meet any of the following criteria will receive priority in the lottery. Applicants must upload the required documents during the application period:
    1. Students with disabilities: A copy of the disability certificate must be provided.
    2. Students from low-income households: A certificate issued by the city government that includes the applicant’s name must be provided. These students are exempt from accommodation fees but must pay a dormitory deposit.
    3. Students from mid-low-income households: A certificate issued by the city government that includes the applicant’s name must be provided. These students receive a NT$7,000 subsidy for the semester accommodation fee (see Section VIII). Additionally, their summer accommodation fee will be reduced by 30%.
    4. Indigenous students: A household registry document must be provided.
    5. Students whose household registration was in Taipei City or New Taipei City within the past two years but has since been changed: A household registry document must be provided.
    6. Students with long commuting times: Students whose household registry is in Taipei City or New Taipei City, and whose one-way commute takes more than one hour, must upload a screenshot from Google Maps showing the estimated commute time to NTU using public transportation, with an arrival time set at 8:00 AM.
  6. Application Results: Results will be announced on February 19, 2025 (Wednesday) at 2:00 PM on the application website. Successful applicants will receive an email notification, while unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a waiting list, with placements updated until April 11, 2025.
  7. Accommodation Period: Students must log in to the application system and click the confirmation button within three (3) days of notification. Payment must be completed, and check-in must be done within seven (7) days of notification.
  8. Fees: Accommodation fees will be calculated starting from the week of the move-in notification. A dormitory deposit is required and will be refunded upon check-out in accordance with Article 24 of the Regulations Governing the Management of Student Dormitories. Beginning in Spring Semester 2024, the Executive Yuan will subsidize the on-campus semester accommodation fee for students with ROC nationality, with general students receiving NT$5,000 per semester, while mid-low-income and low-income students receive NT$7,000 per semester. The subsidy amount will be calculated from the week of the move-in notification.
